Taylor Joins The Bank N.A.’s Board of Directors Justice Steven W. Taylor The Bank N.A. Board of Directors Matthew McGowan, Chairman of the Board of The Bank N.A. is proud to announce that the recently retired Oklahoma Supreme Court Justice and former Chief Justice Steven W. Taylor, has joined the Board of Directors of the Bank, effective January 31, 2017. “We are honored that he has chosen to devote his valuable time, talents, wealth of knowledge and experience to our bank’s board of directors”, said McGowan. Justice Taylor graduated from Oklahoma State University, with a degree in Political Science, continuing his education at University of Oklahoma College of Law. He was inducted into the OSU Hall of Fame and received the Regents Alumni Award from O.U. the only person to receive the highest alumni recognition from both Universities. After service in the U.S. Marines, with assignments from Infantry Platoon Command training to a prosecutor and Chief Defense Counsel and then the youngest military judge in the US Armed Forces, Justice Taylor returned to his home town of McAlester, Oklahoma to practice law. He also made the time to serve as the City’s youngest ever Mayor and contribute significantly to economic development efforts for the City of McAlester. Justice Taylor was appointed Associate District Judge for Pittsburg County by Governor George Nigh in 1984, and elected District Judge of the 18th Judicial District in 1994. Taylor presided over more than 500 jury trials, including the State trial of the OKC Bombing case. In 2004 Governor Brad Henry appointed him as a Justice of the Supreme Court of Oklahoma. He served as Chief Justice from January 2011 January 2013. In 2009, Justice Taylor was inducted into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame, which is the highest recognition an Oklahoman can be awarded from the State. Justice Taylor lives in McAlester with his wife Mary. They have one son, Wilson, who lives in Oklahoma City and is Manager of Team Operations for the Oklahoma City Thunder. Matthew McGowan stated, “I have the utmost respect for Justice Taylor. I’ve had the privilege of knowing him for over 25 years. He’s a man of integrity and has spent a lifetime in public service, caring for our community. The Department of Communication Sciences Disorders Oklahoma State University will hold a public forum Thursday, March 23 from 4:30-5:30 024 Murray Hall (lower level auditorium) Stillwater OK The department’s graduate program in speech-language pathology will be undergoing a site visit by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) as part of the department’s reaccreditation application. The department is accredited by the CAA of ASHA and invites individuals having knowledge of the program to attend the public forum and provide input to the site visit team. Written input may also be provided by the public prior to the site visit according to the following protocol: (1) Comments must identify the Oklahoma State University program; (2) Comments must relate to the program’s compliance with the standards for accreditation, such standards available at: http:// www.asha.org/academic/accreditation/accredmanual/section3.htm#standards3 ); (3) Comments must be submitted to the ASHA Accreditation Office no later than 15 days prior to the scheduled site visit on Thursday and Friday, March 23 and 24. Comments received less than 15 days before the visit will not be provided to the site visit team. (4) Comments must include the name, address and telephone number of the commenter, as well as the commenter’s relation to the program. Such information allows the Accreditation Office to verify the authenticity of the information provided. (5) All comments must be signed.
