A Letter From Your Public Public Safety Officials In times of need, Oklahomans just know what to do. A good example of this is immediately following the crash Oct. 24, Stillwater's people stepped up. They didn't need to ask what to do. They administered first aid. They comforted the injured. They transported those in need to the hospital. They showed leadership until the first responders arrived on the scene. We know who you are. You are Stillwater's strong. Its compassionate. Its pioneering spirit. We may not know your names. We may not recognize you on the street. We may not know whose life you saved, but we want to thank you. You may not think you did something heroic, but we know better. Our prayers are with those who lost their lives and those who continue to be affected by this tragedy. We would also like to take this time to thank our first responder partners who we count on in times of need. Stillwater is a better, stronger place because of all of you. Thank you from the City of Stillwater.
